Bookings/reservations are not final until a deposit has been received and the booking approved by a member of The Pickle Factory Management.
An administration charge of 20% is payable on any cancellation. Failure to notify The Pickle Factory staff in writing of a cancellation not later than 2 weeks prior to the date of the event will result in the full hire charge being due.
No sub-letting is allowed.
The hirer shall not use The Pickle Factory for any illegal or immoral purpose or activity.
The capacity of the building must be complied with in order to meet fire regulations.
No exits shall be blocked at any time. Fire appliances may not be tampered with and only moved in the event of a fire.
A named responsible person must be present throughout the event.
Alcohol may be consumed by guests during parties subject to licence, but it is the responsibility of the organizer (named responsible person) to see that it is not supplied to anybody under the age of 18 years.
If Alcohol is to be sold then we may, by prior arrangement be able to provide a bar licence or it must be supplied by a person licensed to do so (in which case we will need to check the details of the licensee and s/he will sign a declaration accepting full responsibility for the supply of alcohol for the duration of the event). Challenge 25 signs should be displayed at all times and the stated conditions adhered to.
Media should not be played so loud that it causes a disturbance to our neighbours. Our license requires that this is checked hourly by a responsible person undertaking an aural audit by walking around the immediate streets to ensure that this is the case.
After midnight doors should be kept closed to ensure that noise does not carry and disturb our neighbours (in the event that it is necessary to keep doors open then volume should be reduced accordingly).
While we are happy for you to bring in and use your own sound equipment, we also operate a sound limiter that cuts power to all amps and speakers if the sound is too loud. By hiring the venue you agree that we are not responsible for any damage that this may cause to your equipment.
The hirer shall be responsible for keeping the premises in good order during the hire period. This includes but is not limited to: controlling noise levels, adequate supervision of children, ensuring people leave the venue in an orderly fashion to minimise the impact of the event on our immediate neighbours
In the event of a disturbance, The Pickle Factory reserves the right to terminate any public or private activity, event or meeting not properly conducted.
The Pickle Factory shall not be held responsible for any loss or damage to any property or any injury sustained during hiring of the facilities, arising from any cause whatsoever, or for any loss due to any breakdown of machinery, failure of supply of electricity or telephone, internet, leakage of water, flood, fire, riot, government restriction or act of God which may cause the premises to be temporarily closed or a function interrupted.
The hirer is responsible and liable for any damage to the equipment, furniture or building and loss or injury, which occurs, while in the position of hirer.
A refundable deposit of £125.00 is required when hiring the premises, and will be returned provided the premises are left as clean and tidy as you found it and no loss / damage or injury occurs during the hiring period, this money will be refunded.
Hirers must remove their rubbish, a charge of £8 if sorted for recycling or £16 if not sorted will be taken from the deposit if rubbish is left behind.
The Baggator Trustees have full access to the premises regardless of any event in progress. (Proof of identity must be shown).
The hirer must familiarise themselves with the Emergency Evacuation Procedure, located in the Main Hall and café area.
The Pickle Factory reserves the right to amend all charges as necessary.
Use of the hired facility does not permit the hirer or their guests to use other Pickle Factory facilities.
Proceeding with a booking implies acceptance of these conditions.
